JoJo, whose full name is Joanna Noëlle Levesque, started her career by performing in local talent shows, and had a recording contract by the time she was a teenager. Her self-titled debut album dropped in 2004, and went to No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. RIAA later certified the album Platinum, and to date, several million Copies have been sold. She made history at age 13, when “Leave (Get Out),” her debut single, made it to No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Pop Songs chart. She was the youngest artist at the time to enjoy that distinction.
She has continued her recording career, but is also known for her work as an actress. She has appeared on both television and the big screen, working in films such as “RV” and “True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet.” Television work includes stints on “Lethal Weapon” and “Hawaii Five-O.”
