Those who can never have too many Books, even when the “To Read” stack is several feet high, have an event on the schedule just for them.
The North Park Book Fair is an outdoor event that will be held in the center of North Park, a San Diego neighborhood. The event is hosted by North Park Main Street, a local organization that coordinates, promotes, and plans events that are well-attended and fun. The organization’s events are all planned to give back to North Park. This means that most of the proceeds from the events go back into the community to fund improvement projects to keep North Park safe, clean, and beautiful. Everyone is encouraged to attend an event to support the community. They are family-friendly, and many are free.
This time, North Park Main Street is teaming up with Verbatim Books for a special event. Booksellers from throughout the area will be on hand with special and rare collections. Local authors will also be on hand, and there will be an open mic and poetry readings. Finally, selected craft vendors will be taking part, as will local food vendors.
The book fair is set for this Saturday, July 17, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, outdoors between Ray and 29th on North Park Way. Flyer printing can be used to provide handouts for local events like this.
