San Diego venue hosts tribute to music legend

San Diego’s live music venue the Music Box is hosting a tribute band for an industry giant.

Maybe I’m Amazed: A Rock & Roll Celebration is a tribute to Sir Paul McCartney, who has been a fixture in the music industry for decades. McCartney first came to the notice of most Americans as one of The Beatles. The “Fab Four,” as they were nicknamed, comprised McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and John Lennon, and are the highest-selling group in history, with over 600 million records sold.

For the enormous influence they have had, the life span of The Beatles was relatively short, as they were only active from 1960 to 1970. After their breakup, all four artists enjoyed successful solo careers.

The tribute is performed by a group of all-star studio musicians who recreate the sound and feel of a live McCartney performance. The program features hits from Wings, McCartney’s other solo performances, and of course, his time with The Beatles. A multi-media show, lighting effects will serve as a background for the tribute.

The artists for the performance are CPO as Macca, drummer Dicki Eliszar, Chris Jagich on guitar and keyboards, Cory Clark on guitar, and Scott Harrah on bass. CPO has played Paul in a variety of tribute shows.

‘Maybe I’m Amazed’ is scheduled for January 28 at 7.00pm. When organizers plan concerts like this, they can use poster printing to create outstanding advertisements for them.
