San Diego race takes the scenic route

Locals can work up a sweat and enjoy some family time this weekend.

The 5th Annual ‘One Hope Act Today’ for military families will feature a 5K and a 10K run and walk. Both the 5K and 10K will start at the Tecolote Shores Park area in the Mission Bay community of San Diego. Then, the scenic route will take participants around the Fiesta Island loop.

The event’s fundraising efforts will go to help military children with autism and their families. To promote this event, no doubt a poster printing service was used to make eye-catching Signs.

After the race, participants can visit the family festival, where there will be refreshments, music, and plenty of booths. Kids can enjoy the children’s area with crafts, games, and an inflatable jumper. The festival starts at 6:30 am and ends at 11:00 am.

Registration costs $35 for the 5K, $40 for the 10K, and $25 for the fun run. On race day, prices will go up $5. Individuals who are aged 17 and under can register for each event for $25. Registration includes a t-shirt, chip timing, and refreshments.

The fun starts on March 28. Registration begins at 6:30 am. The 10K will start at 7:30 am while the 5K kicks off at 8:00 am and the fun run follows at 9:30 am. Tecolote Shores Park is located at 1740 East Mission Bay Drive.
