The Adolescents may no longer fit the age label, since they first got together in 1980, but their rebellious attitude and spirit are the same as they were at the start of the band's career. Catchy vocals, shredding guitar solos and driving rhythms continue to mark the group's performances.
A review says:
“Just a good, honest punk show . . . no barriers in front of the stage, no makeup, no light show. The Adolescents . . . might not be the new kids on the block, but they know how punk should be delivered.”
Musicians from the bands Agent Orange and Social Distortion formed Adolescents, with the self-titled debut album following in 1981. At first, the album only enjoyed underground success, but over time, it climbed to become the second-best selling album ever in the history of California hardcore punk.
The band has split and reformed several times, reuniting in 2001. Their seventh album, “La Vendetta,” dropped in 2014 and was selected as the year's best punk album by the Orange County Register. Last Friday, they released their 10th studio album, “Russian Spider Dump.”
The Adolescents will appear at the Casbah on November 28, beginning at 9:30 pm. Tickets for the previous dates will be honored at this performance. Poster printing can be used to create striking advertising for events like this.
