New app available to help San Diego parents

Busy families in San Diego and the surrounding area now have more help available, thanks to a new app.

The Kango app launched in San Diego recently, bringing with it a way for parents in the local area to connect with experienced, vetted drivers upon whom they can rely to take youngsters to school, and for tutoring, practice, and various other activities. In addition to providing rides to area children, parents using Kango can also request childcare either by itself, or in addition to a ride.

Sara Schaer is the CEO, as well as the co-founder, of Kango. She says it is the organization's goal to help busy families do what they must by providing needed services that are safe, from a company they trust. New services like this can use Logo Design to create a distinctive company symbol.

Kango was begun in San Francisco and is available in Orange County and the Los Angeles area as well. It is earned the nickname of the “Uber for Kids,” although neither Lyft nor Uber is licensed and insured to carry minors, and drivers for these companies can be penalized for giving minors rides. In addition, parents who call Lyft or Uber to transport unaccompanied children may be dropped from the Kango app.

In addition, Kango drivers must have had previous experience in childcare, are subject to background investigations through the FBI and the Department of Justice, and are fingerprinted.
