Halloween all month long at San Diego movie house
At a San Diego cinema, Halloween is starting long before October 31.
The Rooftop Cinema Club, which is located at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in downtown San Diego, is planning to scare or amuse moviegoers throughout the month of October. According to the club, it has lined up scary films, dramas, fantasy films, and horror films, and sprinkled in a few comedies, musicals, and rom-coms, all designed to celebrate the spookiest month of the year.
The theater will also continue its Family Screenings, as well as films suitable for children. Although most nights are limited to adults only admission, on some nights the films will be aimed at youngsters.
The doors open every night at 6:30 pm, with the movies starting at 8:00 pm every night except Fridays and Saturdays. On those evenings, two films are shown, one starting at 7:00 pm, and the second at 9:45 pm. Poster printing is often used when events like this are scheduled.
When the films are for young people from ages 3 to 17, the showings are on Sundays. This Sunday, October 13 brings COCO; on October 20, Hocus Pocus will be screened; and on October 27, the movie is Halloweentown. All family showings start at 8:00 pm.
Other favorites on the schedule include Beetlejuice, The Princess Bride, Dirty Dancing, and the classic Halloween. The full schedule is on the theater’s website.
