Famed comedian and actor coming to San Diego

A “Saturday Night Live” alum who has had an impressive career in television, film, and comedy is coming to San Diego.

David Spade is a native of Michigan who came to fame as a cast member and writer on NBC’s iconic sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live”. After his work on SNL, Spade has had a successful career in both television shows and films. Among his movies are “The Wrong Missy,” “Joe Dirt,” and “Black Sheep.”

On television, he has been a member of a large ensemble cast in two series, “Just Shoot Me,” which ran from 1997 until 2003, and “Rules of Engagement,” which ran from 2007 until 2013. He was nominated for two Golden Globes and a Primetime Emmy Award for his portrayal of Dennis Finch in “Just Shoot Me.”

He has also done extensive voiceover work, voicing Ranger Frank in 1998’s “The Rugrats Movie,” and Allur, the red panda, in “Snowflake, the White Gorilla,” as well as others. He was also awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

On his current tour, he exhibits his customary self-deprecating, sarcastic humor. A review says:
“David Spade is a really talented comedian. . . . top notch. Worth every penny.”

David Spade will be at the Balboa Theater on March 2. Organizers of events like this will frequently use poster printing to create suitable advertising for the show.
