Cooking for charity in San Diego
San Diego foodies have a reason to celebrate.
Chefs Unite is a series of four Tuesday night dinners, during which 17 of the best chefs in San Diego will come together to create exquisite meals. The series began on May 11, and two of the four sessions are yet to come.
The initiative is to raise awareness and needed funding for EmbraceRace, an organization dedicated to educating young people about bias. Brochure printing can be used to create programs for events like this.
To ensure the safety and health of participants, tickets will be sold as tables for two or four. Those requesting tables of six or more need to phone Stone Brewing to discuss arrangements.
Participants in the first two dinners included Kenzo Inai of Sideyard BBQ and Stone Brewing’s Rich Sweeney. For the third dinner, which will be next Tuesday, May 25, guests will be:
• Matt Richman of Vistal
• Brad Wise from the Trust Restaurant Group
• A.R. Valentien’s Kelli Crosson
• Tara Luansing Monsod of Animae
For the fourth dinner on June 1, diners will be joined by:
• Pietro Gallo of Civico 1845 + Civico by the Park
• Kingfisher’s Jonathan Bautista
• Jojo Ruiz from Lionfish + Serea
• Kacy Goff of Wolf and Woman
The dinners will be held at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Liberty Station. The price is $89 for dinner, with an additional $25 charge per person for those who enjoy wine or beer pairings.
