After being sidelined for a year, a popular event is back on the schedule in San Diego.
San Diego Bayfest 2021 offers a lineup of great reggae artists in a new venue, Waterfront Park. The festival features a strong lineup of musicians along with the best in local food and drink.
The bands scheduled to appear are DENM, KBong, The Aggrolites, Fortunate Youth, Sublime with Rome, and Dirty Heads. All the groups are either from Southern California or now call the region home. DENM is a San Diego native, and KBong is originally from Hawaii, while the Aggrolites are based in Los Angeles and Dirty Heads come from Huntington Beach.
Fortunate Youth hails from Hermosa Beach, and frequently performs in San Diego, featuring the hard-driving reggae of frontman Dan Kelly and Gonzo Gonzalez on drums.
Subline with Rome has been part of the West Coast reggae scene since the 1990s, and recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of the release of “Sublime with Rome,” the album that shot them to the mainstream.
DJs Green T, Who, Scooter, and Unite will spin the music when bands are not performing. Local vendors and craftspeople will be on hand, along with taco stands and local bartenders pouring craft cocktails and craft beers.
San Diego Bayfest 2021 is set for July 10, from 12.00 pm until 10.00 pm, and is for those 21 and over only. Poster printing is a great way to advertise events like this.
