Classic rocker comes to San Diego

A musician who was a member of one of the most influential groups of all time will be in San Diego soon.

Robert Plant was the frontman for the legendary band Led Zeppelin for its entire existence, and during that time, they released eight studio albums. Seven of the eight went to the number one spot in the U.K. charts, and six of the eight hit the top spot in the U.S. “Led Zeppelin II” hit the top stop in both the U.K. and the U.S. In the U.S., RIAA certified the release as 12 times multi-platinum. “Whole Lotta Love,” the highest-charting single ever released by the group, was on this album.

Led Zeppelin broke up in 1980, and Plant went out on his own. He has been highly successful as a solo artist, with his album “The Principle of Movement” being certified platinum, and the unique “Now and Zen” going triple platinum, with more than three million Copies sold.

Plant has been described as an innovator, an artist who genuinely loves music, and one who combines three genres – roots music, rock, and the blues – into his own unique sound. A review of a Plant concert says:

“The energy was electric and the experience is for a life time. Still reminiscing after 18 months.”
