People from Rohnert Park who would like to learn more about how their area deals with the issue of wastewater have been invited to check out an event that has been planned near them.
The Laguna Wastewater Treatment Plant will be marking its 50th anniversary with a special celebration, and all are welcome to come and join the fun. A full schedule of activities has been planned, and it is open to all ages.
The treatment system, which serves a population of about 230.000 people, will be hosting both walking and hayride tractor tours of its facilities, and there will be lots going on. There will be displays, including interactive booths, for the guests to explore, and there will be kids-themed activities as well. A barbecue lunch will be served, and all of this is being offered free of charge.
This opportunity to learn more about the area’s wastewater treatment system will begin at 10:00 am, and the event will wind up at 2:00 pm.
