The Sonoma Wild Music Festival and Community Gathering is returning to Rohnert Park this spring.
Proceeds from the festival will go toward local environmental groups. In addition to a lineup of folk and bluegrass bands, there will be informational booths and presentations about the environment, local food carts, and arts and crafts.
The musical acts slated to perform include Rising Appalachia, a five-person Southern American folk ensemble; Gone Gone Beyond, a band that blends acoustic folk with electronic music; Painted Mandolin, an acoustic quartet of mostly string instrumentalists; Broken Compass Bluegrass, a four-person modern bluegrass band; Saritah, a solo artist blending reggae and acoustic styles; and Ras K’Dee, who takes inspiration from beat poets and R&B in a unique solo act.
The festival is run by Tapestry Productions, which helps to support a number of causes related to the environment in the U.S. and all over the world.
