Rohnert Park symposium to lend local environment a helping hand

A symposium that will be held in Rohnert Park this July will be focused on creating programming and policies with a goal of zero waste.

Stakeholders at all levels, from individual community members on up, that participate in the conference will discover many simple ways they can dramatically reduce the waste they generate. A variety of practices are on the agenda for discussion, and the organizers explained that if everyone does their part, even small acts can make a big impact.

Those who attend the function will learn about the programs and other initiatives that are already in place in the South Bay area that can help them to minimize the waste the create. They will also find out how they can support policies and practices that work towards a goal of reducing the impact humans have on their environment. The business owners and government officials in the crowd can learn about the Green Business Certification Institute certification program, and there are many other topics on the agenda.

When planning an event like this, the organizers can work hand-in-hand with area Print shops. These can supply reusable Promotional Products such as pop-up Banners, water bottles, and thermal Mugs, all of which can play a role in reducing post-consumer waste.

This year’s North Bay Zero Waste Symposium will be held in the SOMO Village Event Center on July 31. More details for delegates and vendors alike can be found on its website listing.
