A popular event is now on the schedule in Rohnert Park, with some caveats.
The Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Faire is a traditional event now in its 41st year, and the Rohnert Park Community Services Department, which organizes the event, has made the application available, noting the measure is “just in case.”
Currently, the department cannot confirm the faire will go on as scheduled. The final decision will be up to health organizations at the state and county level. However, people are encouraged to apply so they will be ready in case the faire goes ahead.
The faire is an opportunity for shoppers to support local vendors of arts and crafts, and shop indoors in comfort while avoiding the mall. Music and food are part of the fun. In past years, a Little Elves' Workshop provided a place for children to have fun of their own. Children from 5 to 12 could be left with trained elves to help them write their letters to Santa Claus, and make decorations to take with them.
This year's dates are November 27 and 28, at the Rohnert Park Community Center. The event is free, and times have yet to be confirmed, but were from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm on both days last year. Flyer printing is a great tool to create handouts for shoppers at events like this.
