Rohnert Park residents asked to give the gift of life

Rohnert Park’s Department of Emergency Services has issued a challenge to residents to come out and make a gift that could save a life.

Fire Station 2 will be the location for the Bucket Brigade Blood Drive, which is being held as part of Blood Centers of the Pacific’s 12th Annual Bucket Brigade Blood Drive Challenge. Firefighters and other first responders, as well as the general public, are encouraged to take some time in their busy day to come out and make a donation.

The process of giving blood takes about an hour, and upon arrival, each donor will be greeted and their identification will be checked. There will then be a short physical exam and questionnaire to complete, and then the donation will begin. Once it is complete, the individual will rest for a few minutes, be given some refreshments before heading out for the rest of their day.

To thank those who have made a contribution to the drive, each will be give a t-shirt that has been specially designed just for the occasion. A printer can be called upon to provide customized Promotional Products like this for a variety of not for profit events.

The Bucket Brigade Blood Drive is scheduled for January 6th in Rohnert Park’s Fire Station 2. More details can be found on the community’s website.
