Rohnert Park invited to celebrate areas agricultural heritage

An event that has been held in the Rohnert Park area for the past 44 years will be back once again this summer, and it promises to offer its usual farm-themed fun.

The 2018 Gravenstein Apple Fair will offer lots to see and do for all ages, and it will celebrate the artistic, farming, culinary, and wine making skills that exist in Sonoma County. It is scheduled to run for two days, and will be held in mid-August.

There will be two stages set up for the occasion, and live entertainment will be on hand. At least 30 Sonoma County food vendors will offer a variety of dishes, and attendees can add to their own culinary skills by taking in one of the live demonstrations that will be on offer in the Chef’s Tent. Kids can have fun with the farm animals, crafts, games and characters that will be in the kid’s corner, and a variety of do it yourself workshops are on the agenda as well.

The organizers have include more than 75 crafters and artisans from the area in the plan for the weekend, and they will have booths and displays set up to browse through. For those who want a more in-depth experience in local wine and food, a special VIP artisan tasting lounge will be set up where they can sample curated food and drink parings. Banner printing for a large public event like this can be provided by a Print shop.

This annual celebration of the county’s agricultural heritage will be taking place on August 11 and 12. General admission, kids and VIP artisan tasting lounge tickets are all being sold for the function.
