Rohnert Park fests feature bluegrass and beer

Residents in Rohnert Park and the rest of Sonoma County will be preparing for the Green Music Center's Third Annual Bluegrass Festival and Second Annual Craft Beer Fest. The two events are held in conjunction to bring the best in brews, music, and Americana.

The Bluegrass Fest has become one of the favorite annual events in the county and regularly attracts both a large audience and some of the best bluegrass bands in the country. This year the line-up includes Del McCoury and David Grisman, Sierra Hull, and the O'Connor Family Band featuring Mark O'Connor.

The Craft Beer Fest will happen concurrently, providing visitors a sampling of local microbreweries including Lagunitas, Bear Republic, Cooperage Brewing and many others. Guests will receive some custom Drinkware and unlimited tastings of the beverages at the tent. Visitors can also choose to pay for a VIP ticket, which includes a special tasting lounge as well as some food pairings, games, and more. Though attendees to the concert can choose whether or not to participate in the Beer Fest, it is not possible to buy tickets to the Beer Fest only.

The Bluegrass Festival and the Craft Beer Fest will take place on July 9 starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Green Music Center, located at 1801 E. Cotati Ave. Ticket prices vary by seating but ranges from $25 to $45. Participation in the Beer Fest costs an extra $30 for standard and $40 for VIP.
