The Rohnert Park Community Center is set to host and an Independence Day celebration with a festival called RP Jubilee.
The event will include a competition called the Scoop N’ Dip contest, where participant chefs will cook up their best dips to be eaten with chips. The competition includes five categories: Dessert Dip, Cheese-Based Dip, Bean-Based Dip, Guacamole and Salsa.
There will also be plenty of outdoor activities for families by way of oversized yard games, an inflatable fun zone and a Wee Play Zone for toddlers and babies.
Musical acts accompanying the event include an opening performance by Kendrick Fielder followed by the headlining band, The Cheeseballs. The Cheeseballs music includes rock, disco, new wave, hip-hop and funk. They are a dance band, having toured the world bringing their music to others across the globe. They are slated to perform in a few other shows this summer, in various other cities in California.
Food and beverage vendors include Aunt Betty’s Corn Dogs, The Spot, Cousins Maine Lobster, Lucky Pop Kettle Corn, Good Vybes Lemonade, Nothing Bundt Cakes, HopMonk Tavern, Kona Ice and Jamerikan Jerk.
Community events like this may choose to use graphic design for game booths, carnival attractions or website promotion.
The Rohnert Park Community Center’s RP Jubilee event is happening on July 4 from noon to 4 p.m. at 5401 Snyder Ln.
