Rohnert Park anticipates annual event

Residents can enjoy an upcoming community event featuring a parade, festival, race, and a car show contest.

The Annual Rohnert Park Founder’s Day Parade and festival is a yearly tradition. This year, the theme will be ‘Halloween Towne’. Locals can watch the parade, which will feature floats, marching bands, community groups, and other special entries.

After the parade, attendees can head over to the festival for refreshments, arts and crafts, contests, and kids’ activities. Craft and food vendors will be on site. It is likely these establishments used a business card printing service to create professional cards to distribute during the event.

Individuals can take part in the bed races – a competition where teams push beds on wheels to see who can be the fastest. In addition, the Mr. Lucky Legs Contest will judge legs in categories such as Hairiest and Most Muscular.

Locals can get some exercise at the event’s 5K Zombie Fun Run where participants will have to avoid the zombies. Registration costs $10.

During the festival and beyond, there will be live music from Rotten Tomatoes, Rosetown Soul, and Counter Balance.

On October 3, the parade will begin at 10:30 am at Lawrence E. Jones Middle School. The festival will take place from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. Finally, the car show will be held from 10:00 am until 4:30 pm.
