Popular event returns to Rohnert Park

An annual event that promises a delicious time for everyone is on the way back to Rohnert Park—with a few changes.

The Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce is putting on its annual Crab & Pasta Dinner Fundraiser. The event is always a sell out, so anyone interested should buy their tickets right away. There are some new guidelines due to the need for social distancing. First, the event is a drive-thru only this year. Participants will place their orders early and pick them up at the Rohnert Park Community Center Complex. Pickup times will be scheduled every half hour, from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm.

Also new is the addition of several choices. Patrons can choose their crab to be either cold or hot, and they can also pick their pasta sauce, either pesto or marinara. If they like, they can also include a bottle of wine, a beer six pack, a brownie, or a cupcake.

Participants will have a chance to win a prize in the 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20. The prize is half the total money raised.

The price for the crab and pasta dinner without add-ons is $55, which includes approximately three pounds of crab, as well as pasta, bread, and a salad. Desserts are an additional $5, wine is $20, and the beer is $15.

The fundraiser is scheduled for February 27. Flyer printing is often used to publicize local events such as this.
