A conference to help leaders communicate more effectively has been scheduled for Rohnert Park.
The North Bay Food Industry Group (FIG) is presenting FIG Leadership Series Part One: “Communicating Up, Down, and Across.”
Any workplace must have clear, strong lines of communication to make its internal relationships positive and productive. The upcoming workshop discusses developing communication methods. Print shops can provide materials of any kind necessary for this type of event.
Attendees will learn to create a mindset within the workplace that encourages collaboration, how to respond to any situation with a well-crafted message, what methods to use to build rapport and use that relationship going forward, and develop an image of the workplace that allows the intent of the message to align with the results.
The featured speaker for the event is Gabriel Cox, who specializes in conflict resolution, clear communication, and team leadership. Cox served 21 years on active duty with the U.S. Coast Guard, where he was a member of the Food Service Assistance and Training Team. He visited Coast Guard installations throughout the country, using his skill in communication to ensure Food Service Officers were following established guidelines for sanitation procedures, and remaining within budget.
At this time, the seminar is scheduled for May 20, from 8:30 am until 10:00 am, at the SOMO Village Event Center on Valley House Drive in Rohnert Park. Those interested in attending will want to check with organizers in case of any schedule change.
