Fun day for kids in Rohnert Park

Children in Rohnert Park are going to get a chance to learn new skills and have fun at the same time.

The Flying Frog Academy is offering a Labor Day NERF Camp for children ages 6-14. At the camp, each child will learn new ways of moving, and spend the day being active physically. They will be in a safe environment that is constantly supervised, and have a lot of fun as they learn how to manipulate their own bodies.

The day is focused on movement, and attendees will learn the skills demanded by parkour, which is the sport of moving through obstacles in the environment by leaping, climbing, or running in the most efficient way possible. The sport was vividly illustrated in the opening sequence of the 2006 James Bond film “Casino Royale.” They will also face and overcome fun challenges, and develop an awareness of their own bodies.

Since this is a NERF day, battles are also planned, with teams facing off against one another in the foam-shooting game, such as Zombies vs. Humans. Group games, and open time in the gym are also on the schedule.

The Labor Day NERF Camp is set for September 7, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, with a $75 fee for the entire day. The Flying Frog Academy is on Classic Court in Rohnert Park. Flyer printing can be used to create informative handouts for events like this.
