The Cotati City Council recently held a busy meeting that covered various topics, including awards, the appointment of new members to the planning commission, updates on Covid-19, building projects, and more.
Cotati is an unincorporated city a few miles south of Rohnert Park, so locals and commuters may be interested to know what was discussed during the April meeting.
Four items were presented in the consent calendar. Firstly, the council passed a resolution to rescind the 2020-21 local emergency due to COVID-19, following the White House's declaration ending the emergency. Secondly, it received the final report summary for a team building meeting held on February 24, 2023.
Thirdly, the council awarded the Civic Center Painting Project construction contract to KBI Painting, and allowed the city manager to proceed any proposed amendments for the construction contract or related construction management agreement.
Finally, the Community Development Department recommended the council receive and file a report on the 2022 Annual Progress Report on General Plan Implementation.
Before diving into the consent calendar, the council gave community members time to speak. After important meetings like this, printing services are sometimes used to share minutes.
After some discussion on the consent calendar, the council proceeded to the regular agenda items, which required more attention as there were several items to review. Following the end of the public hearing section, the City Manager, Damien O'Bid, delivered his report.
