Christmas comes to Sonoma

The city of Sonoma is getting ready to celebrate the holidays in style next month.

The first event that will take place is the Sonoma Downtown Holiday Celebration, which will be hosted by the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce. It is set to feature the Christmas tree lighting and the arrival of Santa Claus, and there will also be entertainment and family-friendly activities.

The next event will be the annual Lighting of The Snowmen at Cornerstone. This annual event is free, but parking is $10 per vehicle.

Another event will be Christmas at the Mission. Guests can enjoy the lights of the season while they listen to Christmas carols being sung.

These events and other holiday happenings will likely attract visitors from all around Sonoma County, including from nearby Rohnert Park. Organizers may invest in brochure printing services to help spread the word.

The Holiday Celebration will take place at Sonoma Plaza on December 4, starting at 5:30 pm. Contact the Chamber of Commerce at 707-996-1033 for more information.

The Lighting of the Snowmen will be held at Cornerstone Sonoma on December 6, beginning at 3:00 pm. Call 707-933-3010 to learn more.

Christmas at the Mission takes place at the Mission San Francisco Solano de Sonoma on December 12 at 2:30 pm. Admission is free, although donations are welcomed. For more information about the afternoon's activities, call 707-938-9559.
