Sundial Film Festival returns to Redding

Redding’s Active 20-30 Club will be presenting its 14th annual Sundial Film Festival in early April.

The event has been organized to showcase the diversity and talents of North State filmmakers. All submissions will be under 20 minutes and can be in any style or genre. A panel of educators, filmmakers, critics, and interested parties will judge the entries on originality, quality, and creativity.

Cash awards and trophies will be given in nine categories. The Best of Festival winner will receive $1,000 and Sundial Film Festival trophy; narrative, documentary and animation winners will each receive $500 and medallions; and the one-minute-movie winner will receive a medal. The Best Annual Local School production will claim a trophy and $500 donation to the school.

Medallions will go to the People Choice, Best Invited Film, and Best Performance. The People’s Choice award winner will also take home $100. Runners-up in narrative, documentary, and animation will also receive medallions, and the runner-up for the Local school annual production will get a trophy.

Sponsorships are available at $500, $1,000, $1,500, and $2,500. All come with the sponsor's company Logo Design placed on all festival advertising. Sponsors need to get their logos to the festival organizers before the event gets its advertising poster printing arrange.
