Redding runs 12Ks for Christmas

The 12Ks' of Christmas and 2 Turtle Dove Mile will be coming to Redding in mid-December.

Registration will be $50.82 for the 12K's 12k run, $34.92 for the 2 Turtle Dove Mile and $16.90 for kids under 15 years of age wishing to run the 2 Turtle Dove run (2 miles).

Swag will include long sleeve shirts that will only be guaranteed until November 23rd.

Holiday music will greet participants as they run the courses.

The 12K's course will be an out-and-back beginning at Lake Redding Park Pavilion, proceeding along the Sacramento River Trail and turning around at the Sundial Bridge.

The route for the 2 Turtle Dove Mile will also be an out-and-back beginning at the Lake Redding Park Pavilion with the turn-around near the Diestelhorst Bridge area.

Custom medals will be given to the top three finishers in each age group in both races and awards will go to the over-all finishers in each race.

Packets will be available at Lake Redding Park beginning at 7:45 am on race day.

Race event organizers of events like this often go to local Print shops and have them create a little graphic design that is then placed on the race shirts to display the event and the year.

Both races will begin at 9:00 am at Lake Redding Park, 2225 Benton Drive, on December 13th.
