Two races are being scheduled here in Redding for the first part of July.
The Firecracker 5k will begin with an opening ceremony at 8:00 am. That will be followed with a Little Sparkler's quarter-mile Walk/Run at 8:15 am and the adult 5k at 8:30 am.
The $20 registration fee will include a limited-edition event t-shirt, access to the mimosa bar and music by a Redding DJ. A patriotic outfit/group medal will be awarded to the best individual or group displaying the July 4th theme. Little sparkler $8 registration will include medals.
T-Shirts from runs like this are often printed with the event's logo or graphic design elements at local Print shops weeks in advance.
Asphalt Cowboys will be holding its 4th of July pancake breakfast from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Meanwhile, the course for the 5k will be lined with flags and timing will be available for those serious runners.
The Signarama Firecracker 5k will begin at 8:00 am in July 4 at Turtle Bay Exploration Park, 1335 Arboretum Drive, while the Firecracker 5k will be at 1335 Arboretum Drive.
A couple of weeks later, the Sunset Through the Trees will be an evening casual run with 4.3-mile and two-mile options. Participants can just sign up for $5 before they show up.
Sunset Through the Trees will begin at 7:00 pm at Lake Redding Park, 22215 Benton Drive.
