Midnight Racing and SWEAT Running Club have partnered to bring Turkey Chase to Redding on Thanksgiving morning. This will not replace the usual Turkey Trot but will fill in the gap until it returns.
Turkey Chase will be a 7K timed race and a two-mile fun run. The 7K will be timed and have overall and top three finishers in each age group awards, but the two-mile will not be timed or have awards. Turkey Central, otherwise known as Lake Redding Park, will have food, music, and the award presentation.
Each 7K registration will be $35 until November 10 when it goes up to $40. For the two-mile fun run, registration will be $25 until November 10 when it goes up to $30.
Swag will include long-sleeve technical shirts sporting this year’s event’s graphic design. They will only be guaranteed to those who sign up before November 11.
Race packets may be picked up the day before from noon until 5:00 pm at Fleet Feet, or on race day at Lake Redding Park from 7:00 am to 8:30 am.
The Turkey Chase 7K will begin at 8:30 am with the two-mile fun run taking place right after it at 8:40 am. The event will wind down around noon.
The 2021 Turkey Chase will be November 25 at 2225 Benton Drive.
