Redding locals will soon have a chance to attend a unique presentation of Charles Dickens’ ‘Christmas Carol – A Love Story’ as told through a new perspective.
This family-friendly event will be presented four times over two days, ensuring all who wish to see it will get ample opportunity.
This musical version of the classic tale, created by Fabiano Altamura, looks a little deeper into the reasons for Scrooge’s misery and miserly ways, suggesting that love, or the lack of it can lead to a tortured soul.
Along the way, there will singing, dancing, and musing, and the occasional humorous aside, such as the Misers Hall of Fame awarding our hero the honor of Best Dressed Cheapskate. All will be performed on a brightly lit set accompanied by tunes as Scrooge is visited by his ghosts and learns the true meaning of love over the course of one action packed evening.
Those who plan to attend may want to bring their best camera for capturing images of the colorful costumes, and may also wish to have flyer printing done to help advertise the show.
The show will be given this Saturday and Sunday, December 19th and 20th, at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm each day, at the Civic Auditorium, 700 Auditorium Drive, Redding. Tickets will cost $20 for the main floor and $15 for riser seats.
