Redding runs Sunset Through the Trees

Many Redding runners will be donning their sneakers and getting ready to run the Sunset Through the Trees, a six-race summer running series beginning in mid-July.

Registration may be done online if buying punch cards or on race day at the race site. Fees will be $5 for each race or $30 for punch cards that will cover all races. Those who opt to purchase the punch cards will receive shirts.

Championship Points will be accrued to those running the long courses. Awards (Gift Certificates) will go to the top three winners in three age categories.

A 4.3-mile run, and a 2-mile will be at Lake Redding Park on July 15th, and a 5-mile and 2.8-mile will take place at Anderson River Park on the 22nd. LEMA Ranch will hold a 4-mile and a 2.5-mile on the 29th.

August runs will include a 4-mile and 2.4-mile at Clover Creek Preserve and a 5-mile and 2.5-mile back at LEMA Ranch on the 19th. The series will end with a 4.3-mile and a 2-Mile back at Lake Redding Park on the 26th.

All races will begin at 7:00 pm.

Families and other groups running in series like this often go to local Print shops and have a colorful graphic design created and added to matching T-Shirts that members will wear to show unity.

The Redding runs at Lake Redding Park will take place at 225 Benton Drive.
