Redding has two Christmas-themed races scheduled for early December.
The 1st Annual Jingle Bell Fun Run will be a family-friendly two- mile run/walk starting at the Sundial Bridge. Participants will receive bells they can attach to their running Apparel to jingle as they run. Adult registration will be $20, and child registration will be $20.
The run will end at the Garden of Lights, and admission to that event will be included in the race registration.
The one-hour Jingle Bell Fun Run will take place Saturday, December 2 beginning at 4:00 pm at Turtle Bay Exploration Park, 1335 Arboretum Drive.
The following weekend, the 12K's of Christmas will be a 12k run and a two-mile Turtle Dove run/walk around Lake Redding Park. Registration is $47 for the 12k and $31 for the Turtle Dove event. Children 14 and under can run the Turtle Dove race for $15.
Swag will include long-sleeve shirts sporting this year’s graphic design. Overall finishers will receive awards, and custom medals will go to the top three finishers in each age group in each race.
Packets may be picked up at the Lake Redding Park Pavilion beginning at 7:45 am and ending at 8:50 am on race day.
The 12K’s of Christmas will be Saturday, December 9 from 9:00 am to noon, beginning at 2225 Benton Drive.
