Redding runs Care Net 5k

Runners here in Redding are gearing up for the Care Net Annual 5k Race/Run/Walk coming early in October.

The event will be divided into three waves. The first wave will be reserved for those taking the race seriously and will run for time. The second wave is for the non-timed running crowd out for the exercise and the third will be for walkers just out for a one-mile stroll.

Registration will begin at 8:00 am. The first wave will take off at 9:30 am. Participants in all three waves will begin their runs at the Sundial Bridge’s south side. A free pancake breakfast starting at 10:00 am, thanks to the Knights of Columbus, will be waiting for finishers.

Registration is $35 for runners and $25 for walkers. Black tee shirts sporting this year’s race Logo Design will be available for $12 upon registration. All proceeds will go to Care Net in Redding, a pregnancy center that supports local women and families.

Local businesses can purchase booth locations at the venue for $100. Each $250 Silver sponsor and $500 Gold sponsor will have their Logo Design on race tee shirts and on the event’s registration website. In addition, Gold sponsors will also receive route signage, three race registrations and a vendor booth location. Other supporters may donate gift cards or merchandise.

The 2021 Annual Care Net 5k Race/Run/Walk will be October 9th at Turtle Bay Redding, 844 Sundial Bridge.
