October fundraisers here in Redding will be rather eclectic, as one will be an Oktoberfest and the other a glitter gala.
Redding Heating and Air will present Oktoberfest, a fundraiser for Turtle Bay exhibitions and educational programs. Festivities will include outdoor games, food, live music, and a costume contest.
Winners of costume contests often take pictures and send them to local Print shops to be added to family newsletters. Adults can enjoy beer and kids may make crafts.
The Paul Bunyan Forest camp will be available to children from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday October 15. Here, kids can enjoy a replica of Paul Bunyan’s logging camp by participating in lumberjack experiences. The camp offers a butterfly house, a lumber flume with a mill wheel, and a high climb adventure with slack line, rope tower, zip line and rock bouldering wall.
Oktoberfest 2022 will take place October 15 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Turtle Bay Exploration Park, 844 Sundial Bridge.
On the same evening, Glitter and Glam Gala, a fundraiser for Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley, will be a formal affair with cocktails, dinner, dancing, and silent and live auctions.
Tickets are $75 each.
The Glitter & Glam Gala will begin at 6:00 pm Saturday, October 15th at the Red Lion Hotel, 1830 Hill Top Drive.
