Redding participates in Think Pink 5k Walk/Run
The 6th Annual Nor-Cal Think Pink Walk/Run will be coming to Redding at the beginning of October.
Registration will be $25 for adults, $15 for children between the ages of 6 and 18 and kids 5 and younger may participate for free.
Race packets will be available on Friday 3rd October from noon to 6pm at Lake Redding Golf Course at 1795 Benton Drive. Think Pink merchandise will be available. Packets will also be ready for pickup from 8.30am to 9am on the day.
Participants may get tickets for the raffle and enjoy entertainment beginning at 8:30 am on race day. The race will start at 9.30am and the raffle drawing will take place during the run. Awards for winners for overall female and male winners and winners in each age category will take place afterward.
Businesses that donate items to charity raffles like his often slip business cards in with their donations.
Seven sponsorship levels range from raffle prize donations, $150, $350, and $600, to $1000, $2000 and $6000.
All proceeds from this year's race will go to Dignity Health Advanced Imaging's NCTP Breast Cancer Detection Fund and will be used for breast cancer diagnostic services for women with inadequate insurance coverage.
