Redding mud runs for charity

Runners here in Redding out for a good muddy time and wanting to help a good cause will be heading to the 2024 Shasta MudRun coming at the beginning of June.

For the 11th year, between 1500 and 2000 mudders will be running the 5K and sloshing through 20 military-stye challenging obstacles.

North State Parent will be manning a mud pie booth. Easy Events will be providing pumped-up jams, local vendors will be selling food and merchandise, and there will be plenty of photo options for souvenir pictures.

Pictures taken at events such as this often go to local Print shops for duplicates to provide proof of participation to friends and family members.

A free kid's area with a mud pit will be available for the Mini Muddies.

Registration is $75 for adults, $44 for youth under 13 years old, and $100 for adults wishing to run the course twice. First responders can get $15 discounts. Parking will cost $5.

Packets will be available at Everyday Fitness Wednesday, May 29th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and Thursday, May 30th from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Proceeds from the event will go to Youth Options Shasta, a non-profit organization that provides programs for Shasta County youth.

The 11th Annual Shasta MudRun will be June 1st, at Hawes Farm, 6465 Deschutes Road, Anderson, with the first wave of 50 starting at 10:30 am. Waves will be released every five minutes.
