Redding will be starting the New Year with a Frosty Fun Run and Redding Health Expo.
The course for the 2.5 M or 4M Frosty Fun Run run/walk will be on the Sacramento River Trail. Entry fee will be $3 and the Race will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 4.
Following the race at 10:00 am, Dignity Health will be presenting its annual Redding Health Expo at the Redding Civic Auditorium. More than 100 local vendors will be exhibiting and selling health, nutrition, medicine, and fitness products and services. Many local providers will be offering samples. Vendors at events such as this often bring Business Cards for those passersby that may want to get in touch with them at a later date.
There will be giveaways and raffles. Over 40 businesses have donated items such as BMX bikes; $100, $300, and $800 prize packages, music earbuds, and a kayak with paddle.
Guests will get to see cooking, wellness product, and services demonstrations, and can get tips on how to stay active and healthy, participate in health screenings, and give blood at the blood drive.
The event will have continuous live shows on the Redding Civic Stage. The Kids’ Zone will have interactive activities, prizes, and games.
Tickets will be $5 for everyone over 12 and free for kids 12 years old and under. All of the proceeds from this event will go to ReddingKids.
