Redding has two festival options on same day

Redding will get two totally different festival options on the same day this September.

The first will be the Shasta College Harvest Fest 2019. This will be the culmination and fundraiser for the college’s Horticulture, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Heavy Equipment Operations programs. It takes place September 28th.

Wagon tours around Shasta College farm will leave Ross Ranch, 12033 Old Oregon Trail, beginning at 4:00 pm. These will be guided by students and will showcase the college’s different educational programs.

Festivities under the Ross Ranch’s big tent will begin at 6:00 pm. There will be live music and dancing, live and a silent auction, and produce that has been grown locally by the students.

Programs being funded by this event will be the logging sports, farm improvements, livestock breeding lab projects and equipment purchases.

Pictures of events like these can often be used in a college’s student brochure printing for the following year.

The second option will be Redding Fire Festival 2019. Artists and crafters will be vending their original works and there will be lots of children’s activities. Flow and dance (sans fire) workshops will be available and there will be demonstrations. The highlight of the evening will be the Cirque “Pirates” show featuring fire dancing and pyrotechnics.

Redding Fire Festival 2019 will take place at the Shasta District Fairground, 1890 Briggs Street, Anderson Saturday, September 28th from 2:00 pm until 9:30 pm and Sunday, September 29th from noon until 5:00 pm.
