Redding runners will jingle all the way when they enter the 3rd Annual Jingle Bell Fun Run coming in early December, while others will enjoy the 12Ks of Christmas coming later in the month.
The Jingle Bell Fun Run will be a two-mile jaunt beginning at the Sundial Bridge and finishing at the Garden of Lights. Registration will include admission to the Garden of Lights. Proceeds will go to the Turtle Bay exhibitions, education programs, and animal maintenance.
Registration will be $30 for adult members, $35 for other adults, $20 for members’ children, and $25 for other children. Kids under the age of three will get in for free. The first 300 entrants will receive wearable jingle bells to don as they run or walk the course.
The Jingle Fun Bell Run will take place at Sundial Bridge, 844 Sundial Bridge Drive, on Monday, December 2 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Swag for the 12Ks of Christmas and 2 Turtle Dove Mile happening soon after will include long-sleeved shirts and awards. Online adult registration for the 12Ks of Christmas will be $50.82, while the 2 Turtle Dove Mile (which is a two-mile run as the name implies) will be $34.92 for adults and $16.90 for kids under 15 years old.
Local races like these usually go to nearby Print shops to get their swag printed with their event's logo.
The 12Ks of Christmas will take place December 14 from 9:00 am to noon at Lake Redding Park, 2225 Benton Drive.
