What's Happening in Redding, CA…

Redding has Halloween fun for everyone

The Redding area can experience Hawes Farm Fall Festival, Hawes Haunts, and Redding Haunted House at the Monolith in October.

For the 20th year, Hawes Farms will present its family-friendly Fall Festival. Visitors may choose their own pumpkins from the pumpkin patch then enjoy the corn maze, zipline, farm animals, ice skating, children's rides, and food.

The Fall Festival will run throughout October, taking place on Thursday and Friday evenings, and starting in the mornings on Saturdays and Sundays. Scenes from fall festivals like this often go to stationery printers and are used in seasonal notecard sets.

As night falls, the farm will turn into Hawes Haunts, offering three immersive haunted attractions – catacombs, sinister workshop, and cornfield of terror. These attractions are geared to those 18 and older.

The haunts will be open from 7:30 pm until 10:00 pm on the first three weekends in October, and 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm on the last.

Finally, suited for everyone over 10 years old, The Redding Haunted House at the Monolith will take guests through dark labyrinthine corridors replete with special effects, scenes, loud music, and actors. Proceeds will go to the Rotary Club programs.

Tickets will be $15 online, $20 at the door, and $30 for VIP entry that allows the ticketholder to skip the line. The event will be open from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm on October 25, 26, 28, 29, and 30 at the Sheraton Hotel parking lot.
