Redding dog lovers will be pleased to know that the Haven Humane Society is holding its 9th annual Doggie Dash in March.
The event will be a combination 5k run and community fair. Runners are encouraged to bring their furry friends along with them on the route. Costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded for best duo, funniest costume and best overall costume. Prizes will also go to the fastest runners.
Proceeds from the dash will go to the Haven Humane Society which helps over 5,000 animals yearly.
Adult pre-registration will be $25; youth from 7 to 17 will be $15, and groups of four will be $85. Kids under the age of 7 can run for free. Prices go up $10 on race day.
The course will take runners to the Sundial Bridge and back to the starting point at the Lake Redding Pavilion.
The Community Fair will run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The fair will feature dog friendly activities and goodies such as Doggie Paw Prints and Pup Cups. Family fun will include activities, a photo booth, food, and music. Community vendors will be selling goods and services.
This year's 2025 Doggie Dash shirts featuring the Doggie Dash graphic design must be pre-purchased before March 1st. They will be sent to the purchaser's home.
The 2025 Doggie Dash and Community Fair will take place at Lake Redding Pavilion, 56 Quartz Hill Road, Saturday, March 15th with the race starting at 10:00 am.
