Redding chocolate lovers awaiting the deliciousness that is the annual California Chocolate Expo, must wait until mid-November.
The expo will feature a wide variety of chocolate offerings, including small-batch, bean to bar, and artisan confections. Attendees will be able to purchase samples, bars and uniquely crafted custom-sized creations, some with impressive embellishments. Types of chocolate will also run the gamut, from dark, to milk, white and blonde. Prices will vary by vendor. The event will also feature local crafters, artists and small business owners promoting their offerings.
General admission tickets will be $15, and $10 for those coming late on Sunday. Children under eight get in free. The event organizers are also offering a VIP package for $40 which includes front-of-the-line passes, gift cards, chocolate samples, a pamphlet and an event bag for carrying around purchased items. The organizers also note that last year, tickets sold out early, thus those hoping to attend will be wise to buy theirs earlier rather than later this year.

This year the California Chocolate Expo will be taking place on the weekend of November 15 and 16, as always at the Red Lion Hotel, 1830 Hilltop Dr. The event will run from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday and noon to 4:00 pm on Sunday.
