Redding will be having a full day of activities to celebrate July 4th this year.
The opening ceremony will begin at 8:00 am, and the timed Signarama Redding Firecracker 5k and the Little Sparkler's 1/4-mile Run/Walk will take place along a flag-lined course.
Participants in the Little Sparklers Run/Walk will receive medals, 5k participants will get limited edition commemorative T-Shirts, and everyone will be treated to a full pancake breakfast served by the Asphalt Cowboys from 8:00 am to 10:00 am with a mimosa bar for the adults. The pancake breakfast will cost $6.30 for those not participating in either the 5k or 1/4-mile events.
The Signarama Firecracker 5k will take place in Turtle Bay Exploration Park.
This year's Redding Freedom Festival will begin at 6:00 pm. Food vendors will be selling dinners and summer treats beginning at that time, and will remain open until 9:55 pm. Live music will begin at 7:00 pm and Red 103.1 FM and Q95 FM (97.3 FM) will be offering soundtracks during the fireworks. Over 1,700 shells will be shot from Sundial Bridge starting at 10:00 pm.
Occasionally food trucks that take part in July 4th events like this get local Print shops to create a red, white, and blue graphic to put on their paper products.
The 2025 Redding Freedom Festival will be at the Redding Civic Auditorium, 700 Auditorium Drive.
