Redding bikers will be holding their annual Big Bike Weekend in mid-October. Teaming up will be the annual Rocks for Socks music festival.
Registration on October 11 at the Best Western 2300 Hilltop Drive, from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm, will start things off. During that time, a VIP party will be in full swing. This will be a meet-and-mingle with riders and guests. At 8:00 pm at Cascade Theatre, 1731 Market Street, ZZ Tush will perform. Proceeds from this event will go support Veterans Cemetery programs.
The next day, October 12, at California Street Labs, the annual Remembrance Joy Ride will begin at 1325 California Street at 10:30 am and take riders to Sundial Bridge, with lunch following at Big League Dreams.
Rocks for Socks will be playing on the ball field. Admission will be a pair of warm socks, warm clothing, sleeping Bags, or blankets. These items will be donated to the Good News Rescue Mission.
On October 12 and 13, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, Big League Dreams will have DJ Bobette, exhibits, vendors, raffles and an auction. Bike games will start at 3:00 pm.
The Think Pink Poker Run will be the next morning, starting at 9:00 am. It will begin at 800 Shasta View Drive and end at Big League Dreams. A Bike Show will start at 3:00 pm on the 13.
