Redding bookstore has two upcoming virtual events

Redding’s Barnes & Noble bookstore is putting two of its book events online over the next few weeks.

Tomorrow, (December 16) Ernest Cline, the author of the bestselling book and subsequent Spielberg film “Ready Player One” will be featured in a live- streamed virtual event at 7:00 pm.

He will discuss his new book, a sequel named “Ready Player Two.” This latest book offers fiction fans plenty of nerd and pop culture references as it returns to the action-packed OASIS world and picks up where the first book left off.

The online event will air on B&N Facebook, Twitter and YouTube simultaneously.

On January 6 at 7:00 pm the bookstore will present another live-streamed author event. This time the presenters will be Lilia Buckingham and Sara Shepard.

Miss Buckingham, as well as being a social media personality and actress at the age of 16, can now add author as another string to her bow. She and Sara Shepard, the author of the bestselling book “Pretty Little Liars,” have teamed up to create their novel “Influence,” which is a mystery novel about life as an internet star. The presentation will take place in a discussion format.

“Ready Player Two” is already available for purchase and “Influence” will be available at the Redding Barnes and Nobles Bookstore, 1260 Churn Creek Road, starting January 5, 2021.

Dynamic authors like these keep Print shops and bookstores in business.
