The McConnell Foundation is once again funding the City of Redding Freedom Festival of Fireworks this 4th of July, and Anderson Explodes on the 3rd.
The Redding Freedom Festival will have summer treats at the local nonprofits’ concession stands. Some of these organizations will include the Cheer Squad from Foothill High School, Simpson and USA Softball, Wings of Angels, and Enterprise Jr. High Hornets. Clubs and organizations that sell items at events such as this like to get some banner printing down beforehand to liven up their booths.
Music artists for the evening will include Dusty Foster, California Country and Chris McCandliss. Everyone will be able to get their faces painted. This event will begin at 7:00 pm with live music at the Redding Civic Auditorium, 700 Auditorium Drive and close at 11:00 pm. Fireworks are scheduled for 10:00 pm. Attendees are advised bring their own blankets and chairs and to arrive a little later when the weather cools down.
Anderson Explodes Fireworks will be at the Shasta District Fairgrounds, 1890 Briggs Street from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm in Anderson. Along with the fireworks at 10:00 pm, there will be food, music, and Hawes Farms. The Mark Willis concert will begin at 8:00 pm. FFA/4H BBQ will cost $10 per ticket and the Shasta Speedway Races begins at 6:00 pm. Attendees are advised to bring blankets and lawn chairs and arrive early to get the best locations.
