Organizers of environmental event seek new date

This year’s Whole Earth and Watershed Festival was scheduled to take place Saturday, April 18th, but has been postponed due to COVID-19 situation, according to the event’s Executive Committee.

However, the event will be rescheduled as soon as possible so it can still take place in 2020.

Once rearranged, the festival will promote healthy living, restoring a healthy planet, and building healthy communities through renewable energy, natural resource conservation, and environmental advocacy.

Over 150 eco-friendly local organizations, and businesses will be displaying information, passing out Business Cards, and discussing ways to promote mitigate climate change, stop plastic pollution, maintain sustainable lifestyles, and decrease consumption levels.

As an example, Turtle Bay Exploration Park will have a booth where attendees can learn how they can take and maintain responsibility for sustaining our world. Kids can enjoy the climbing wall, a 4-H petting zoo, art fun, STEM and other educational activities.

An Eco-Fashion trashion/fashion show will be the culminating event for sustainable fashion designers and sewers. Many will be displaying the creations they have made from information they received from the Design and Learn events at the Redding Fashion Alliance.

Eco-concerned advocates in situations like this sometimes get some flyer printing done to get the word out once they know the new date.
