Downtown Redding’s Cascade Theatre at 1731 Market Street will offer an evening with the Temptations, a film festival, a string quartet, and the North State Symphony in February.
Known as American Music Royalty, the iconic Temptations will be returning to Redding on Wednesday, February 7 beginning at 7:30 pm. They will be singing tunes from their new album, Temptations 60, which was released in 2022 to commemorate the group’s 60th Anniversary.
Vitamin String Quartet, a contemporary string ensemble, will be the next February performance after that. The group produces an eclectic mix of classical, hip-hop, dance, pop, and rock music. This performance will be on Tuesday, February 13 from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will be a presentation of the winners of over 400 submissions that depict extreme sports, mountain expeditions, and current environmental matters. This will take place Saturday, February 10 from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
From 10:00 pm to midnight on Sunday, February 18, the North State Symphony will be presenting the Mozart Requiem. Concertmaster Terrie Baune, four local choirs, five vocal soloists, one oboe, and the North State Symphony Orchestra will play Mozart Requiem, Walker’s Lyric for Strings, and Bach’s Concerto for Oboe and Violin.
Performances like these are booked months in advance to ensure time for the information to get to the organizers before any brochure printing goes to press.
