Comedian Lewis Black, the king of rant, will be performing here in Redding in mid-March. This will be one of the stops on his “It Gets Better Every Day” Tour.
Black yells and points his finger about everything from current events and politics, to social media and whatever else he sees as part of the absurdities of life.
He is Comedy Central’s The Daily Show’s longest running contributor and won the American Comedy Award’s Best Male Stand Up back in 2001. He has dropped a number of comedy albums, two of which received Grammy awards (The Carnegie Hall Performance in 2007 and Stark Raving Black in 2011). The multi-talented entertainer has also written three bestselling Books, and provided the voice for “Anger,” an animated character in the Pixar film “Inside Out.”
Adult tickets run from $39 to $59. Student tickets will be $25 and student IDs must be shown at the door. All tickets purchased for the original performance dates will be honored or refunded.
Fans of comedians like Black often go to their idol’s website and purchase merchandise like face masks, puzzles, T-Shirts, and Totes, each sporting a graphic design created specifically for the entertainer.
Lewis Black will perform at Redding Civic Auditorium, 700 Auditorium Drive, on Friday, March 19 beginning at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
