Care Net Redding will be holding its annual 5k Race/Run/Walk toward the end of October.
Participants in the event will have the choice of three start waves. The first wave to leave the starting line will be composed of those runners wishing to compete for time. The second wave will be for those wishing to race but not be timed, and the third group will be those out for a leisurely stroll.
Registration will begin at 7:30 am. Racers will be leaving the starting line next to the museum, right before entering Sundial Bridge at 9:00 am.
After the race, between 9:30 am and 11:00 am, the Knights of Columbus will hold a free pancake breakfast on the Quarry Patio at the other end of the bridge, where there will be awards, raffle prizes, and yard games.
Registration will be $30 for timed and untimed racers and $25 for walkers. All participants may order their off-white, orange, and blue cotton race shirts sporting this year’s event graphic design for $15 during registration.
Proceeds from the 5k will go to Care Net Redding, an organization that cares for local families with parenting courses, sonograms, and the soon-to-be-up-and-running mobile ultrasound unit.
The Care Net Redding 2022 Race/Run/Walk has been scheduled for Saturday, October 22 at Turtle Bay Redding, 844 Sundial Bridge Drive.
